Giving Giftcard Good Move or Bad Move
There is no end to the variety of gift cards that are available. Even local small businesses are now beginning to offer gift cards for their goods or services. Whether you are looking to purchase a card for a restaurant, golf course, Movie Theater, or high end department store, gift cards are available for them all. No matter what someone is interested in, there is a card that will put a smile on their face. They are no Longer a Giving Faux Pa. In the past, many people have hesitated to give gift cards as presents because it was considered a giving faux pa. It was not acceptable to present someone with a card that let them know exactly what you were spending on them. However, now it considered a courtesy to give someone a gift card and allow them to pick out something that will truly make them happy. Gift cards have now become the top item on everyone's wish list, and gift givers are finding it easier to please with the large selection of cards that are available. Businesses have found the giving such cards as incentives or bonuses encourage employees to work harder, and provide for greater company satisfaction. All around gift cards have now become one of the hottest gifts to both give and receive.

Giftcards spending down for Christmas 2008
Giftcards spending down for Christmas 2008
he day after Christmas typically ranks as one of the biggest shopping days of the year and usually draws shoppers eager to spend their new gift cards. But this year, more consumers avoided them as gifts. Some were worried about stores going out of business; others figured they could get more bang for their buck, reasoning that the $100 they might have spent on a gift card could buy far more merchandise than before, thanks to steep discounting.Lori Ridgeway, 47, of Gurnee, said she gave cash instead of gift cards this year because she worried stores could go out of business.Store gift cards are expected to generate $61 billion in sales in the fourth quarter, down from $70 billion in 2007, said Brian Riley, senior analyst at research firm The Tower Group. Taubman Centers Inc., which operates Woodfield mall and 23 other shopping centers in 11 states, said gift card sales have been tracking single- to double-digit declines, according to company spokeswoman Karen MacDonald.
Let's hope that 2009 will bring happiness & joy to all.

Gas Cards are great gifts. With Gas Prices leveling off, there is no better time to get Gas cards for Everyone. My Favorite Gas card is the SHELL GAS Card. You can get these gift cards in $10, $25 & $50. Hurry, the Lower Denominations sell out quickly.
Giftcards for the Grocery Store are always nice. People need to get groceries & these giftcards go along way. Get a Grocery Gift Card at your Favorite Grocery Store today.

GiftCards.com
GiftCards.com is currently running a promotion that enables shoppers to save $25 when they purchase Visa gift cards. Consumers purchasing gift cards totaling $100 or more are eligible to receive a $25 rebate courtesy of eBillme. Customers must be first-time eBillme users to receive the rebate.
With spring in full swing and gift cards being a very popular graduation gift, wedding gift, and teacher gift, GiftCards.com is pleased to offer such an attractive promotion during this time of year. The average graduation gift is $50 cash according to a 2007 National Retail Federation poll and with the popularity and flexibility of gift cards, giving a personalized Visa gift card can allow the recipient to shop anywhere they would like.
"We are thrilled to offer this promotion and to give Giftcards.com customers the opportunity to experience the security of using the eBillme payment option for checkout," says Marwan Forzley, President and CEO of eBillme. "Customers have already begun experiencing the benefits of secure online banking checkout and we look forward to continuing to work with GiftCards.com to enhance the customer checkout experience and provide more opportunities for shoppers to use eBillme," continued Forzley.
GiftCards.com began offering eBillme as a checkout option in November 2007 and has seen a steady increase in users since. "We are able to offer an alternate payment option that is easy to use, secure, and does not require a credit card; which is very attractive to many of our savvy Internet consumers," commented Jeff Lininger, President of GiftCards.com. Not only does eBillme offer a secure, credit card free payment option for purchasing gift cards, it allows GiftCards.com to offer the extremely popular VirtualGift. The VirtualGift is a gift card that can be sent via e-mail. Currently, customers must use eBillme to purchase the VirtualGift because of the added security measures the service has to offer. "We are thrilled to be able to offer the VirtualGift and eBillme certainly helps with this process," continued Lininger.
Offering $25 off of gift cards will certainly increase the continued adoption rate of eBillme on GiftCards.com. Paying through your secure checking account online is hassle free and enables consumers to feel safer while shopping on the Internet. GiftCards.com is pleased to offer eBillme and looks forward to its continued success on their site and thousands more.
